Interested in continuous move or floating fleet optimisation?

Private fleet FTL dispatching involves taking individual jobs and stitching them together into optimised combinations for each truck. The goal is to keep trucks running fuller, longer. TNX robots automate and optimise this process. The dispatcher answers some questions about their trucks, and TNX creates a robot that looks for and shows only the best combination of work for the truck. It is dead easy, here is an example of a robot setup in 20 seconds.

TNX robots are actually optimiser agents, providing the kind of transport planning known as continuous move planning, FTL multistop, or floating fleet.

Robots create sequences of jobs which are best suited for the truck. They also show the expected gross margin. Here are two example sequence summaries. Notice that it shows the gross margin, the total driving distance, the total driving time, and total loading time. It also shows how many cargo owners are being served.

The robots optimise while considering legal driving limits, required waypoints or routes, region restrictions, vehicle type differences, fixed costs, variable costs, and many other factors. And - given the multi-tenant architecture of TNX - they automatically include all cargos available to a carrier on TNX, regardless of the cargo owner.

Here is how to create a robot. Start by opening the Your Robots menu. Then click on Manage Robots and create a new robot.

Starting a New Bundle

The software asks you a series of questions. You should answer them about a single truck: the robot will plan the best way to use it. Make sure to always describe the truck's running costs as accurately as you can, because the robot is trying to maximise the gross margin from the truck.

Once you have created a robot you can see the results under the Your Robots menu. Next to the name of the robot it will always show the plan with the best gross margin it has found. Click on the robot to view a list of possible plans for the truck. The bundles of work are sorted by gross margin. Usually, you just need the top result. But you can skip down if you see something you like better. If a job or a bundle of jobs looks good, accept it or make a bid.

When you are done with the robot for the day, you can use the checkbox at the top of the job list to hide it until tomorrow. If you have multiple robots, they always sort to put the one with the best gross margin at the top and the checkboxed robots at the bottom.
